Have you left a Church? Are you considering leaving the Church you currently attend? Some saints and Churchgoers frown upon people leaving the Church and though Church is a awesome way to worship, serve and fellowship with others, leaving a Church isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Wait, hear me out, before you pray God touch my mind. Leaving a Church isn’t necessarily a bad thing, if God is leading you in that direction. Yes, I believe God will let you know when it’s time to move on and attend another Church. Some of the reasons God may lead us to leave a Church, false teaching, idol worship and the list goes on. However, sometimes, there’s nothing wrong with the Church at all and it’s just time to move on, God knows best.

“If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.-1 Timothy 6:3-5

In closing, I’m no Preacher, just a believer of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but If you’re seriously considering leaving a Church, make sure your heart is in the right place by seeking God through prayer, fasting and scriptures. Sometimes we are guilty of allowing our emotions to lead us and not God. Also don’t leave on bad terms. Speak to the Leader of the Church or write a well written letter. May the peace of God be with you. God Bless.
