What does it mean to be a Workaholic?
Workaholic:
noun

informal
  1. a person who compulsively works hard and long hours.

Success, is what many of us long for and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be successful, as long as we aren’t doing things illegal and as long as we’re not sinning against God. However, what is wrong, is simply working ourselves so much that it takes a toll on our  health and not to mention that if we’re so wrapped up in working non-stop, then what happens to family time and time with our friends and doing other things that God called us to do for His glory? What happens is we end up missing out on creating some beautiful memories, connections and we wear ourselves out.

Furthermore, even God our creator took a rest. The word says, “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. -Genesis 2:2

What are your plans this Summer? Are you going to take some time to relax and go on a vacation or two? Or are you going to work, work, work and not enjoy the other parts of the world that has been painted with beauty by God? Success and having money is nice and all but it shouldn’t be our only focus. Taking time to rest is important, spending time with our love ones is important. Knowing when to step away for a while from work is important. Listen, Life is too short.
