Mom, I met this magnificent man at Church on Sunday morning. He’s smart, intelligent and doesn’t boast in pride and like most brothers, looks weren’t important in my eyes.
There I was in the front row fanning myself, as the Mass Choir sung “Amazing Grace” and then within minutes of the song, a shift took place.
I dropped to my knees, uplifted my hands, while tears of conviction and repentance rolled down my face.
Now mom, you know I’ve been searching for love in all the wrong places for years. I thought that without a six figure income, tall, body built man chocolate brother, to cater to my every need, there’s no reason to live.
However, on that Sunday, I met someone who hasn’t just touch my heart, but he touched my soul and he’s more than I’ve hoped for. I mean just when I thought love wouldn’t find me, there it was making it’s presences known. I had to embrace.
Mom, I know you’re dying to know who this magnificent man is that swept me off my feet. Well, he’s no mystery and you know all about him. His name is Jesus. He’s my first love and he said he’ll never leave nor forsake me.
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5
