Marriage will cure lust, right? Wrong!

Marriage is honorable, according to the word of God in Hebrews 13:4, but some people think Marriage is the cure for many things and one of the things I’m referring to, is LUST. Lust is a noun, person place or thing and it means to have a strong sexual desire. There are some marriages that have fallen apart due to LUST. The bible says,”Then when lust hath conceived ( conceived: form or devise, a plan or idea, in the mind) that it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bring forth death.-James 1:15. A husband or wife that decides to cheat, didn’t cheat without thinking about it first. Every action feeds off a brief or lingering thought and not to mention, the more I look at James 1:15, and if I apply this scripture from a marriage stand point, I think about how marriages, where a spouse is lusting after someone else, how it can lead to sin (the act) and then how it can lead to death (divorce). Did you catch that? Wow!

In closing, the cure for Lust, isn’t Marriage. The cure for Lust is Jesus Christ, the savior, the yoke breaker, the anointed one. If you’re dealing with lust, confess that sin to Jesus and ask Him to help you. Jesus will get to the root and he will lead deliver you. The word says, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. -John 8:36
Also if you want to talk to your Pastor/Leader or a Counselor that’s fine as-well. I believe God placed people in our lives to help us when we’re going through things in life but I recommend, go to your prayer closet first and don’t just go, go in faith and with expectancy. Is there anything too hard for Jesus? Not at all.
